SUPPORTING A HEALTHIER YOU
Real Benefits for Real Life.
PT-141 (bremelanotide) has been studied in human clinical research for its potential to support sexual desire and arousal. By targeting melanocortin receptors in the central nervous system, it may support the sexual response and overall sexual wellness.
- May help increase sexual desire and arousal (research)
- Supports healthy sexual function (research)
- Acts on central nervous system pathways (research)
- Non-hormonal mechanism of action
- Studied in human clinical trials

The Science
Evidence & Mechanism
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analog of alpha-MSH that activates melanocortin receptors, including MC1R, MC3R and MC4R, in the central nervous system. It is thought to influence sexual response pathways in the brain. The precise mechanism by which bremelanotide improves sexual desire in humans remains incompletely understood, and human clinical evidence is limited, with mixed results.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your Questions, Answered.
Find quick answers to common questions about this Product.
PT-141, also called bremelanotide, has been tested in two randomized phase 3 trials involving premenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder. The clinical preparation improved desire scores and reduced related distress compared with placebo. These are findings for a diagnosed condition and study population, rather than a promise of stronger sexual performance for everyone.
The bremelanotide studies reported nausea, flushing and headache among common adverse effects. Separate research and prescribing information also address blood-pressure effects. Improvements in desire scores do not mean that everyone benefits or tolerates treatment. Findings for the studied medicine do not establish the clinical suitability of a supplier’s research vial.
Melanotan II shares a melanocortin research background but is a different molecule. Kisspeptin-10 mainly has human evidence on reproductive hormone signalling. Neither body of research establishes equivalent sexual-health benefits. Conversely, PT-141 trial results should not be used to validate tanning claims or general testosterone and fertility claims for these related-reading compounds.
